Tim Evans

Digital Archivist

Tim Evans is a Digital Archivist for the Archaeology Data Service (ADS). His roles include accessioning, archiving and indexing the ADS collections of electronic data. In recent years he has also overseen several large-scale database and GIS driven projects, notably the Roman Rural Settlement of Britain. Tim is also the ADS preservation lead, maintaining a preservation technology watch, oversight of file and object storage and migration, and representing the ADS at DPC events. He also teaches on MSC in Archaeological Information Systems. Tim recently completed his PhD examining excavation and publication trends in British archaeology.
